Gold rises ₹380, silver remains flat in early trade

Gold prices rose for the second straight day to trade near one-month high levels in major Indian cities on Friday, January 10. The precious metal spurted by ₹380 per 10 grams to ₹79,210 per 10 grams following its gains in the global markets.

Safe-haven demand after weak Chinese economic data and gold buying by China’s central bank for the second month boosted its prices in global markets. Investors are waiting for US non-farm payroll data for further cues.

Spot gold firmed up 0.13% to $2,673 an ounce in early Asian trade. The metal moved between $2,668 an ounce to $2,674 an ounce in early trade.

In Delhi markets, 24K gold prices rose by ₹380 to ₹79,360 per 10 grams and 22K gold by ₹350 to ₹72,760 per 10 grams. The 24K Gold in Mumbai traded at ₹79,210 per 10 grams and 22K gold at ₹72,610 per 10 grams.

Silver Price Today in India (January 10, 2025)

Silver prices remained flat at ₹92,400 per kg in major Indian cities on Friday as weak Chinese economic data hit its industrial demand appeal.

The white metal was trading stayed above $30 an ounce levels in global markets ahead of US non-farm payroll data which capped its losses.

Spot silver was up 0.49% to $30.27 an ounce in early Asian trade. The metal moved between $30.07 an ounce and $30.29 an ounce in early trade.
